Terms governing use of Stood Up in Canada and the United States.

Effective date: October 6, 2026

1. Who operates Stood Up and acceptance

StoodUP operates the Stood Up service from Ontario, Canada (“Stood Up”, “we”, “us”). For questions about these Terms, contact support@stoodup.co. These Terms apply when you access our mobile app or website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and located in Canada or the United States to use the service at launch. You must provide accurate information, safeguard account credentials, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not create accounts on behalf of others without authorization, impersonate anyone, or circumvent a restriction.

3. The service and availability

Stood Up helps people discover nearby users who choose to be available, propose activities and meeting locations, exchange meetup requests, and coordinate accepted plans through chat. We do not arrange or supervise in-person meetings, promise a minimum number of matches, or guarantee that users will attend a meetup. Features and availability can change.

4. User content and licence

You retain ownership of content you lawfully submit, subject to others’ rights. You grant Stood Up a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display and transmit that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, and support the service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit it.

5. Conduct and prohibited uses

Follow our Community Guidelines and applicable laws. Do not harass, threaten, defraud, stalk, discriminate, exploit, distribute non-consensual intimate content, interfere with security, scrape user data, spam, or attempt unauthorized access. We may investigate reported misconduct and act to protect the community.

6. Real-world meetings and safety

Interactions and in-person meetings are decisions made by the participating users. Meet in public, communicate clearly, respect boundaries, and arrange safe transportation. Verification indicators are not guarantees of someone’s identity, conduct, or safety. Stood Up is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services when necessary.

7. Pricing and future paid features

The service is free at launch. We may introduce optional subscriptions or paid features later. We will disclose applicable prices, billing periods, renewal and cancellation terms before charging you, obtain any required consent, and comply with applicable consumer protection and app-store requirements. These Terms do not authorize any charge today.

8. Moderation, suspension and termination

We may remove content, limit features, suspend or ban accounts, or take other proportionate action when we reasonably believe our rules, user safety, or applicable law require it. Decisions may rely on reports and preserved evidence. Contact support@stoodup.co to request review of an account restriction; review does not guarantee reinstatement. You may request account deletion through the app or public deletion page. Limited safety or legally necessary evidence may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy describes personal-information practices. Some functionality depends on third-party infrastructure, maps, email, push notifications, and verification protections, which may be subject to their own terms.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we provide Stood Up on an “as available” basis without promising uninterrupted access, error-free service, or outcomes of user interactions. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights, remedies, warranties, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including protections afforded by applicable consumer law. We are not responsible for users’ independent conduct merely because they met through the service. Any limitation of liability must be interpreted subject to mandatory applicable law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, subject to mandatory protections that apply where a user resides. Disputes may be brought before courts of competent jurisdiction in Ontario, except where applicable consumer or other mandatory law permits or requires another venue. There is no mandatory arbitration agreement in these Terms. Before filing a claim, you are welcome to contact us to seek an informal resolution, without waiving any legal right.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated, and consent obtained, where required by law. Continued use after a lawful effective date may constitute acceptance where legally permitted. For questions contact support@stoodup.co.
